Could be that steering column problem, I had a bad one and so have a lot of other people. Sounded like something was loose and clunking around in the steering column over bumps, don't remember it happening so much when braking though.

yes I know exactly what you are talking about.
After going, and you engage the brake, the steering wheel goes NUTS.
It also shakes a little along with the clunking noise.
Im used to it now and I often let go of the wheel and watch it bounce, my dad mentioned it at the dealership and the lady said she didnt feel anything and "maybe it was becuase it was a rocky road"
-Because Im too stupid to figure that out myself. Which it happens all the time.
But yes, it happens to me a lot . I just let it go do its thing.

Well if the wheel goes insane after pressing the brakes, you are experiencing the quality chinese rotors that glaze after 13k and creates gas that cannot dissapate and makes you pads flutter above the rotor. thus make your steering shutter. However there is a known steering rack pile of garbage issue. They need to replace it. If it almost sounds like a loose suspension pice its yuor rack. When you take it to the garage. have them put the "chassis ear" on it. If they say they dont have one. Set the garage on fire and go to another Service center.

more than likely if the steering wheel is going nuts its brake pads dont thinki to hard about what could be so wrong start with the basics and youll get it...but its either pads or the steering rack which alot of people have problems with check the pads tho if there glazed over change them
