Clutch ??
Ok so my old clutch started slipping so i bought the gmpp clutch from ced and had it installed. When we took the old clutch out the oem factory clutch 153k mile clutch it still had plenty of life left on it but come to find out the flywheel was wearing wrong and was the cause of the slippage. Well i took the flywheel and had a machine shop resurface it for me and we re-installed it along with the new clutch and pressure plate and clutch pipe. Now that i got the car back the pedal goes soft after it sitting for a period of time. If i pump it a few times it goes back to stiff again but if i stop and let the car sit for more than a hour it goes back soft.
Also have noticed the the clutch engagement point is very low to the ground im talking like .5-1" of the carpet as soon as i start to let the clutch out its grabs.
I was wondering why is the pedal going soft
Also why is the engagement point so close to the ground and can it be changed ?

I had the same issue when I installed my clutch. Re-bleed the clutch a few times and you will be good to go. As for the engagement location, its a new clutch so the engagement will def be a lot lower than your old clutch. Mine engages instantly off the floor. I basically had to relearn how to drive the car for the first couple weeks. ANd make sure you break in the clutch as well.

My GMPP clutch engages about an inch off the floor as well so that is good.
Low pressure means air in the lines like the rest said. the reason it gets harder after a bit is you are compressing the air in the line thus adding more fluid which makes it stiffer. After setting the air will slowly un-compress pushing the fluid back out.
As far as resurfacing the flywheel you should be fine as long as you don't start slipping the clutch to much. Our FW's are very light and when resurfaces you are removing the thickness allowing it to heat up and possibly warp. When that happens you get half **** clutch engagement and even the possibility of clutch pad damage.
The only think recommended for our FW's is a touchup of the heat spots with a light high number grinding/sandpaper rating. The higher the better so it smooths it out.
You'll love the GMPP clutch though because when it grabs it grabs. After my break in period, 500 long **** miles!, I was able to squelch the tires hitting third. I am totally stock and could manage that.
Anyways you'll get use to the clutch just get it re-bleed.
