to clutch, or not to clutch?

Well I am getting a new tranny here, and Gm will replace my clutch for no labor costs.

they said my OEM clutch is Okay, and has some chunks of material gone, but its useable.

Should i just buy a new clutch or say **** it and roll with my stocker. (17,000 miles on car.)

I just know that I will HAVE to replace it around 30,000 miles, cause thats usually when there ******* go bad. Especially cause this was my first stick, and It got fucked up when it was young.

Also, What is my best option for a clutch. I want something good, but dont wanna spend over like 615 bucks. I was thinking spec stage II +?

Put a new one in. Then you are not taking it back to the dealership anytime soon for a new clutch. Easier IMO.

If they are paying all the labor to put it in, just get a new clutch. it will save you the money of having to do it in the future.

Just put a aftermarket clutch. GM did not spend money making cobalts good cars.

Most definitely put a new clutch in. I would not even think twice about it.
