Clutch Pedal Sag
Hello,
Tonight on my wayhome from work, I go to put on cruise control... and I get
"Cruise Engaged" for so briefly that I coudlnt really read it.
So I get to a flat straight area going a reasonable / safe speed, place both my feet under the clutch and brake pedals. I Lift up on the two pedals. Cruise Works!
I stop pushing up on the clutch and cruise kicks off. I push up on the clutch and stop pushing up on the brake and cruise still works....
Something somehow is makeing my clutch pedal sag a little, or the switch is out of adjustment somehow.
I'll have to get into my service manuals to see about what makes the clutch go up, and proper adjustment of the switch. The clutch doesn't seem to be slipping at all, but I've heard that if you drive around with your foot on the clutch (I do NOT do that) it can shorten your clutch life. If my pedal is sagging for some reason I could see that having the same effect.
Anyone have experence with sagging clutch pedals making cruise control not working? Or is the switch more likly to be bad?

Perhaps I wasn't clear.
Cruise Control ONLY works, when I stick my foot UNDER the clutch pedal and push upwards.
Then I wont have to coast because cruise control is working. As soon as I stop pushing UPWARDS on the Underside of the clutch,
It thinks I'm pushing the clutch and disengages.

Yeah, mine did this because I installed LED tails and again after I did the LED third brake light. Unplugged battery for a few minutes, plugged battery back up and it was fine.
