Clutch Pedal WTF!?!?!
Clutch Pedal WTF!?!?!
So I was driving downtown, not beating the hell out it. Come to a stop light, put the clutch in and let it smooth goes into second just fine. I push the clutch in 3rd and I hear a click noise and the pedal just drops to the floor. Okay so I am in neutral coasting down the road. Chevy dealer is about 1/4 mile ahead I am losing speed fast I know I cant make so I turn into taco bell. Look underneath the dash and behind the pedal. A little silver metal piece with a ball on the end of it came out. Luckily I was close and got some friends to push it. I dont know what the **** its problem is but the rod is stuck, and the clutch is engaged. This car has been a nightmare, I like it and all but the quality just isnt there. Its been in the shop for cruise contol and I have a clicking noise coming from the front end. Just by reading other posts it sounds like I need new axles. Great work, I have a 600 mile trip this weekend so now I cant take my car. Just great thanks a bunch GM I appreciate your durable and long lasting vehicle. The car only has 8500 miles on it too, so this is bout the gayest thing thats ever happened to me.
If it's new....remember the lemon law. I would write down everything wrong with the car and wake up at 7am one morning, bring it in, and tell them to fix it all. You shouldn't have to suffer for GM's lack of effort on your particular car.

the pedal... came off... wow. if you got into an accident because of that you could possibly even sue GM. my god.. thats even worse then the stories of the car temporarely shutting off. btw i also have had that click noise for about 2 months now. i brought it in once just to get it checked out, the guy who worked there for 35 years said hes never seen that before... anyways he tightened all the nuts on all 4 wheels and said to book a time to get it fixed if it continues. first turn outta the dealership - click. i will being it in soon but i just love the dam thing so much i dont wanna see it gone for even a day or two. probably will end up being a month when i do.
God damnit, I dont have a car now. This is ******* retarded I need to go to Fargo, and get the **** out of this town. I have got a crazy ex gf who wants my blood. I cant do it because I am only 19 years old. I shoulda got into an accident. Why didnt I think of that? Once again thanks GM for ******* me over.

Your clutch problem sounds like the pedal just came unattached from the hydraulics somehow. The physical clutch/pressure plate and all of that stuff is probably fine, but with no clutch pedal to disengage the clutch, the clutch stays engaged.....
This just recently happened to me (simple fix for the dealer). The master cylinder assembly dials in 1/2 a turn to lock into the firewall. Simply loosened itself (probably in transit) and dislodged from it's position. The only part that needed replacement was the neutral safety switch. It was a fun 20 mile ride to the dealer to have it fixed though...LOL.
