Clutch problems... quick question...

I am brining my car to the dealership to get looked at on Thursday maybe you can say save a few bucks.

My clutch a week ago started to slip in 4th and 5th. Within a week i was slipping in all the gears at rpms under 3000.

As of today i can be in first gear and let the clutch completely out and not have it stall i hit the gas it will rev up the go and if i rilly give it gas it will still spin the tires.

Also when i did my oil change last Monday when i looked at the transition there seemed to be oil on it. I could not tell if i spilt some on it or it was leaking... all i can say is i have no oil spots any where are work or home.

Is it a seal? is it just the clutch? is it the hole transmition? is it worth bringing it in to get looked at?

Thank you for reading this and any input you may have...

Sounds like your clutch is completely shot.

If you can let the clutch out and the car doesn't stall, the clutch is completely cooked. Continuing to drive the car with the clutch that bad can damage other components, such as the transmission.

You will need to change the clutch (disc, pressure plate), flywheel, and slave cylinder. You may also need an to replace the input shaft seal or rear main seal while it is apart.
