this is funny since your account says you have 13 posts.

Are you reffering to the SS/TC, SS/SC or just the SS?

Now... Im going to assume by your name your reffering to the SS/SC.

And because your friend is so knowledgable about your car, be a nice friend, run to autozone and pick him up a gallon of blinker fluid...as im sure he could use it. (Can never have too much).

So. Heres how it works. 1. Your friend is an idiot. 2. Stop listening to your friend. 3. Your an idiot for listening to your friend. and 4. Your posts make me laugh.

You can NOT have a external wastegate on a roots style supercharger. You CAN however, have one on a centrifugal supercharger (such as a procharger).... So, you sir, are an idiot.

So, you cant get boost... do you see your needle moving at all? or does it just stay at the (approx) -20 In. HG?(Vaccuum).

Can you hear your supercharger scream when you floor it?

Oh man. Here it goes again...

If you want to survive on this forum, use the search button. Then search again. Then one last time. Then start thinking about starting a new thread. If it still seems like a good idea in a week, try, but don't expect to not get bitched at.

it varies...around 3-5 psi. no it doesn't scream. On occasion it will hit 12. I dont know what the hell that cylinder looking thing on top of the supercharger is...but it has a medal rod going into it and it looks like there is a spring inside. I noticed it was going in crooked today and i bent it back and now im hitting full boost again. That is the thing my friend said was a wastegate. I think someone told me it was a boost actuator or vacuum actuator. I think i may need a new one. I am not an idiot because posting that got someone to finally answer me lol

its is the actuator for the bypass valve in the intake. it bypasses air so under light throttle you dont go into boost wasting gas and making the car more driveable.

take it to a dealer it should be under warranty....by bending "straight" you may have messed up the actuator. chances are you now have a broken one and need to take it in. your car is probably in limp mode also. do you have any mods? also i think we have a sticky for engine codes somewhere

No need to call him an idiot or any name calling. He just didn't know. I am sure there are many things you do not know and would not want to be called an idiot about. There is only so much you can research before hand. He is probably a young guy with this being his first car. Its understandable he asked his friend who is also young and probably doesn't understand root superchargers. Before you got this car or any car for that matter can you say you knew everything about root superchargers?

Thanks lol. I am 21 and this is my 5th car...other cars were beaters but this is my first supercharged car. Trying to avoid the dealerships..they fix one thing and break another lol. I looked up the codes....
--P0068 - Throttle Body Airflow Performance (PCM)
--P0101 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Performance
--P0172 - Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1

My car is no longer under warranty. I drive 50 miles a day to my job and already passed 36k miles with my 06 cobalt. Ill probably bring it to a garage when I can but I like to fix my own problems. If anyone has any ideas about these codes feel freet o post them. I like all input...(except the idiot part lol.)

Ya..most likely. Well im just gonna have to work on it. Im going to take out my MAF sensor and wipe it down..clean it up as best as I can. Maybe replace it...also might replace the O2 sensor. Check out the TPS sensor too since one of the codes talks about the throttle position not matching something. If none of this works then Im gonna bring it in. Stupid electronic cars lol. I miss having the older cars with no wires..just the engines
