Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Compression testing gone bad?

yup. easy part about coil packs, you can swap them to see if the misfire code follows it

yup turns out the spring in the cylinder 2 coil pack was rusted. Im assuming it made a bad connection. Ordered one. Let everyone else know the results.

I just find it weird it started acting up after we took it out.

After they messed with it it probably stopped getting a good connection or the springs broke. Good job finding the problem op instead of throwing a throttle body at it

Thats why I said it was odd there was no code, but can cause the same symptoms. Good that he figured out the issue was massive misfires due to a deadish coil pack

well this is what i find weird though. So a year ago i blew a spark plug in cylinder 2. It destroyed the origonal coil pack. So the one thats bad is only 8 months old. I dont really know how it can be bad already!

Look the same. I'm guessing they are slightly different
COIL-IGN 2.0 2005 - 2007 12584368

Just noticed the price difference. Someone needs to test this. $30 difference is a lot. Especially on 4 coils. I'm guessing the resistance is different.

LNF Coil is $27 prime shipped on Amazon. Crazy Cheap. I wonder if replacing them after 100k would be ok for piece of mind.
