I just replaced my crankshaft position sensor and my car is still running bad. like I never replaced the sensor what should I check

 

sounds like you need a crank relearn

someone should chime in on the procedure

 

oh shiz, i had this happen to my car, my sensor blew, causing an open in the circuit=bad stuff, my car died just as i was getting off the freeway, took it in had some warranty work they replaced it and now wallah it's as good as new. why dont u have Chevy do it? u still have warranty?

 

ya i had the same problem with my crank sensor that Mnatvyc1223 had with his. I took it to a dealer they put a new one in along with a new catalytic converter cuz that was junk and presto good as new.

Why did you replace the CPS? Were you getting a code showing that or something?

Important: The crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure is required when the following service procedures have been performed, regardless of whether DTC P0315 is set:

• Engine replacement

• Engine control module (ECM) replacement

• Crankshaft damper replacement

• Crankshaft replacement

• CKP sensor replacement

• Any engine repairs which disturb the crankshaft to CKP sensor relationship
