Crankshaft position sensor

Ok i know did search the topic but i noticed that noone that has had this problem has said anything about whether or not interior lights were flashing. i through the code this morning on my way to work. after about 10 minutes the car finally fired. i babied it back home and called the dealer. i have to take it in tomarrow. also i have noticed that when i come to a stop after a short drive somewhere when i come to a stop my car sounds like its cam'd. after sitting there for a min. it stops and sounds fine. is this part of the crankshaft sensor issue?

P0315 is the code, right? I just had it a couple weeks ago and took it to GM under warranty and they "relearned" the crankshaft sensor to the PCM. Didnt take long for them to do it.

later

Also I see u have a "custom tune", well from what i learned from the guy at GM is that when u get the car tuned, u need to get the crankshaft sensor relearned... dont ask me its just what he told me.

Same thing happened to me at 2500k miles, not to be a dick but if u do an advanced search and change the search to titles only u can find plenty of threads on this.... thats what I did, drove it for another week or two till I could get it in, told them exactly what it was and suprise suprise, I, well css.net was right and it was fixed good as new..... Now I think my coolant sensor is going bad becasue it is full and reads low coolant every day..... where the hell is gm geting these sensors from, o yea the good ole usa prolly..... where salery's are high and quality is low...

my car stalled out when getting on the freeway (manual and i was going 60 and in gear so i knew i wasnt possible to stall when in gear going 60 and a full tank of gas) so i pulled off and called the dealer ship to see if they could get me in and called into work to tell them i was going to be really late. went down to the dealership they ran a diagnostic and said it was my Crankshaft position sensor they fixed it but now my car leaks oil? so i dont know if they didnt tighten something right or what but i am taking it back in to the dealer that sold me the car this time to get some other issues fixed.

The oil leak is from the sensor, they probably didn't get the o-ring in right or something. The sensor sits in the block itself, if its not sealing then it will leak oil.

man must be nice to be able to take your car in and that same day get it fixed. i took mine in yesterday and the bastards at the chevy dealership said they couldn't get the sensor until next tuesday. needless to say that i am pissed. they didn't even give me a rental car or nothin.

o i see. yeah they knew what was wrong with mine same day too. that was last thursday. and here it is monday and i won't be taking it in for a few more days. unless they get it in today or tomarrow. i just don't see why it takes a week to get something from knoxville, tenn. to indianapolis, indiana. i could drive there and back in a day. but whatever.

haha and it took it less time to get to arizona. the weird thing is that my check engine light did not turn on when this happened yet they said they pulled the code from the ECU telling them it was a faulty crank positioning sensor... i dont know but i think something like that should turn on the check engine light... but thats just me
