Exclamation CRAZY electrical problems

So i've had my 06 SS/SC about a month. Mods are tvs and a typhoon intake by K & N.
About three weeks in my dash needles went to hell, my power steering quit and I got nearly every light on the dash except the CEL. For almost 24 hours straight. Here we are ten days later and the same thing completely at random. No power steering and no dash function.

I've checked under the dash repeatedly including all fuses and i'm stumped. Besides hurricane Aurthur coming through and getting my harness wet, I can't think of anthing else that would cause this.

Maybe ignition switch? Bad ground? I can't put up with losing my power assistance at random, that crap is sketchy.

I appreciate any help!! thanks

Waters got into some where.
Check under floor mats for water .
If on passanger side check bcm for dampness.
Check inside fuse box under hood water has been known to get into the 06 fuse boxes.

Yep. I've got water under both floor mats. Fuse box looks good, but i'm assuming it was wet at some point. I think it may be entering below the windshield. Should I attempt to seal with clear RTV? or would I just be making a mess? Thanks

I have seen intakes hit the ground off the traverse bar that support the rad, heat ex changer and surge the system, because a temporary short when the motor twist

If this is the problem look at your engine mounts or just move the ground down the bar a bit so it doesn't hit.

If not pull out a voltmeter see if the alternator is working properly.

I haven't got one but my neighbor just got a notice about week ago there power steering is being recalled, so maybe you are on that list also.

Hope this helps, keep us posted

My sunroof drains were clogged. Sprayed everything under the dash and fuse box w wire dryer all seems to be good. Washing the car doesn't get the floor wet, but an overnight rain will soak it
