Creaking noise?

So the other day when i got into my car i heard this creaking noise coming from the back, its pretty loud and cant figure it out. I was wondering if anyone had this problem or knows what it is. Any help is appreciated.

I have heard something along those lines before when I got into my car also. It's hard to describe or compare it to anything that I can think of. It doesn't happen very often, but every once in awhile. And when it does that, it'll keep going as long as you keep moving around in your seat a lot. And I also found that if you took the e-brake off, it stops? Not sure if that was coincidence or not though. I have the feeling that we're hearing the same noise. Mine's an 06' 2.4L SS.

I have that problem, sounds like the C pillars or the rear seat hinge. I have tryed a few things but its still there, only happens when I drive the car on uneven surfaces.

If you pull up harder on the e brake it shoulds not do it.
The pads are small and operate inside your rear discs like a drum brake.
Nothing to worry about.

i dunno if i worry about it, i had it taken into the dealer to tighten the brake cable, i had to pull the e brake up almost all the way to get the car to hold its spot, now its one click and it holds, not 5 or 6 or 7, and it doesnt creak anymore, well all day today it didnt

So if I take my car to the dealer, they can simply tighten the brake cable that the e-brake uses? Because unless I pull my e-brake AS Far as it can go, it doesn't really hold......(which makes me mad since my 03' Hyundai Tiburon's e-brake worked better, lol).

i took it to one dealership and they tightened it for free, but the didnt do a good job,

i just got my car back from the dealer i purchased the car from and now its 1 click and it hold, 2 clicks for a incline. i hated having to pull the brake up 6 or 7 notches. i told them that its a safety hazard and my car rolls from leaving it on a slight incline. they fixed it right away

dont worry, its covered under warranty
