Dealer Questions!?
Dealer Questions!?
Ok 1st question is, i need to take my car to the dealer, for a problem(ill get to that in a min.) so should i take off my CAI before i go?
Ok my problem is that my car is missfiring/hesitating and is having the idleing problem.
I have a feeling that my hood is the cause all of the problems, because my car only acts weird when it is raining, and maybe the day after. My hood lets water into the engine bay.
I think that the water is either
1- Getting under my engine cover and under my coilpacks down in with my sparkplugs and causing them to short out or miss fire??
2- I noticed that sometimes my CAI tube has water running down it, so maybe my intake is sucking up water??
3- Water is getting on the SC belt, and causing it to slip??
What do you guys think it is?

can't cover the cowl so water isn't allowed in? Make a custom cover that you can easily take off when it's warm and put on when it rains. Doubt they will void warranty or not look at because of the CAI. Mine doesn't give a ****. They were happy that I got rid of my stock airbox. It gave them more room to work with when my axle on the drivers side was damaged from the factory.
1) water is constantly getting into the engine bay. thats unpreventable, so gm designs their cars so that when water gets it nothing gets damaged.
2) dealerships dont care about what mods you have, unless its causing the problem
3) take it now and get it fixed b4 somethign seriously goes wrong
hurry up bro, i would hate for something bad to happen to your car
...besides its free anyway
