do i need a new maf sensor?

i got water in my intake and i think it ruined the sensor. my car lurks from a stop and is really jerky upon slow acceleration. is it worth getting that jet chips one or should i just get another stock one?

Your problems go well beyond a maf sensor...

If you got enough water in there to potentially ruin the MAF, you got more water in there than you think.

You can try cleaning the MAF, if that doesn't work I'd go with a stock replacement and some sort of water shield for your intake.

It can cause oxidation inside the head. After your TB.

How did you get the water in there?

In other words drove it in the rain with a big gaping hole inches from the intake.

Change the maf sensor and buy some gas treatment just encase you got some water in the cylinders.

I would say that all you need to do is dry the filter.
You probably soaked it and now it will be some what restrictive.
