do i need a tune

I have a fujita cold air intake. My check engine light goes on and off. Is this because the picky ass engine needs a tune? If so, is there anyone in illinois that tunes and would price me a simple tune for this. Thanks.

well fujita was your number one problem. did you actually check the code to see what it actually was? yes a tune will fix it, no it's not going to be cheap. i'd say live with the CEL until you get more parts on and then get a tune

I'd find out what the code is 1st. Then if its something intake related put the stock one back on and see if the problem goes away.

I don't know anything about that intake but some are better than others. The bad ones can cause problems untuned.

any intake on these cars needs a tune, any mod onto a car needs a tune. Unless it's a driver mod...

It's probably the P0171 code. It'd be from your intake.. A few of the larger intakes will do it. But yeah, a tune should take care of your problem!

Fuel trims are way off because of the intake. Go back to stock or get it tuned.

An intake really shouldn't do this on an LSJ.
