Does your cobalt SS do this?

Does your cobalt SS rpms hesitate from idle? I don't know exactly how to explain but when i tap on the gas and let off at idle it will like hesitate and if i do it again in will rev up without any hesitation but after a little bit it will do it again. Its like its runing on low octane fuel and isnt burning right.
This is my first super charged car and i do not know if this is normal but it is bad when it happens when im racing or pulling out sometimes. Like if you let the clutch out too fast at a time where it hesitates it will stall out. Any help please!

yeah i know exactly what your talking about.
its like a throttle lag.

as far as i know, its caused by the throttle by wire system the cobalt uses.

from what I understand the electronics system are good for about 500rpm accuracy which also explains why there would initially be a delay.

ya or when you're coasting slowly in secon gear, if you let off the gas its fine, but then you apply the gas again and it wont go but then after a second or two it will jerk then be back up and running, pisses me off, makes it look like you cant drive!

This has been pissing me off since I test drove the car... I thought the CAI would fix it, then I thought the Stage II would fix it and after that I just accepted it. Let me just say that it is now gone, COMPLETELY GONE! The ZZP down pipe and SLP header I just installed on Saturday have completely eliminated this annoyance. Why this is I can not say but it is 100% gone.

Also makes heel-toe very inconsistent...you give it same amount of revs, and it'll short ball you and make the clutch drag or give you too much and make your clutch slip...facking retarded...

That is called Idle surge, its caused by Carbon build up in the throttle body.....Intakes and stage upgrades make it worse, cause it is collecting even more dirt/particles, this is what in most cases is the problem.

I don't know about that, my car had 9 miles on it when I test drove it and that was the first thing I noticed when I pulled off the lot... I have been chasing a fix for it for months. And now it's gone

yeah but i only got 2700 miles on it... i usually run 93 ultra but have been running 89 in it since its stock... i'll try some throttle body cleaner, see if that makes a difference... it couldn't hurt anything could it?
