so lately my drivers side door has decided that it doesnt want to open. and today its been the worst. usually i can pull the handle when the doors are unlocked and the handle will pull out but the door won't open. today its doing the same thing. only problem is that it won't even open from the inside either. anyone know what the problem could be?

 

Wish I could tell ya...mines been stuck shut for a month now, dealer wants 250-600 to fix it so until I get the funds I'm a one seater. The only way to fix the door is to take off the interior pannel and that would be a pain cause the f-ing door is shut.

 

you actually can't get teh panel off when its closed at all theres three fasteners that you can't get to when the door is shut.

i got the door open but in the process i must have pulled a bit too hard on the outside and something cracked. like where the handle meets the mechanism. which sucks. how much is a new door handle? lol.

but does anyone else know what could be causing the door to only open some of the times?

 

my buddys 06 ss does the same thing all he does is pull the lock and the handle at the same time then it opens usually and if it dont passenger side still works lol his lock actually gets stuck but yea there is somethng up with these cars and the doors is there any recalls?

 

so the trick is to pull up on the stick and pull the handle? sounds like that will only work from the inside. lol.

also does anyone know how much a new door handle itself would cost. i cracked something on it when i tried opening the door.

 

I have the four door and sometimes the rear passenger door will do that. What I did was push on the door a few times, a really good push, enough to rock the car, and it will open up. Though I don't know if that will work with yours.
