Door question
I have a 2dr. Cobalt SS 2.4 and was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same probelem as me. being my fourth car, i have found this very strange, normally if you pull the lever to open the door the car automatically says "door ajar" but not in the cobalt, it seems i have to open the door almost 6" or so before it recognized the door being opened??? both doors have this problem...does everyones car do this??? my best friend just got a g6 coupe and being a gm i figured would have the same problem....wrong hers recognizes the door being opened right away....thanks for the help in advance

Yes I've noticed this. One day I didn't have the door opened far enough and the car alarm rearmed (it's tied into the door sensor.)
Just a design thing.
