Dredded Pink Wire!

I know this has been answered before, and I actually used the search feature! Be proud!... but I needed an elaboration on something..

21.) I installed an aftermarket HU with my pioneer package cobalt and now my speakers wont play.... how do i fix this?

You must hook up the "remote" wire for the stock amp to the remote coming off the head unit. To do this you must cut the pink wire coming off the stock harness and connect it to the blue/wire remote wire on your aftermarket HU harness.
This... I did this, and still no sound... started touching the pink wire to other power sources to see which would do it, found that the red wire going from my aftermarket harness to the stereo worked... which is great, but here's my question.... Is that an always on power wire? Or a switched? Can never remember between red and yellow which is which..

Thanks in advance!

I just put an add a fuse in the kick panel on the passenger side in the sunroof slot and wired it to that.
