Ok, when I roll the window completely down, it doesent make a sound. But when I roll it back up, about 5 inches before the window is at the top, it makes a very loud "scracthing-glass" kinda noise. I checked out the window after the first time I heard this and it wasnt scratched. The sound is just annoying. Anyone have this problem? Would it classify as warranty work?

 

I've never had that problem, but take it back for them to investigate.

 

I have an inconsistent rattle on the Drivers side window when down.... dosent do it all the time.... anyone else have this problem? It's not bad enough for me to have them rip my inner doorskin off!

 

suburbanrobot.....My driver-window has had a rattle when partially down since the first week i picked up the car. My dealer told me on the THIRD service visit for the same problem that there was nothing more they could do. I told them that was not acceptable and had a different dealer look at the problem when i took the car in for a collision repair (rear-ended while at a light). The new dealer diagnosed and fixed the rattle n.p. Here's what they wrote on the repair order: excessive clearance in L/F window rear guide to regulator...replaced window regulator w/new.

BH06SS/SC.....A few days later i heard a scatching sound when rolling up the window but it turned out to be just a label or something that was peeling up and touching the glass. i dunno...that may be something to look into in your case.

btw...i want to love my G5 but this car has had too many trim/rattle/noise issues. My 11 year old cavalier felt more solid than this car. Was gonna buy out this car at the end of my lease but that is looking doubtful...hello mazda, or maybe nissan

 

i have the same sound in my driver window

 

The sound you hear is form the window being misaligned with the tracks. or could be from the tracks itself. I work in a body shop and have done tons of work on windows.

 

Mine makes the same sound , but its intermintent , could be fine for a week and then it will screech . Doesnt matter what weather conditions , and i cant see any window scratches or adverse effects .
