dtc p0455 (large evap leak) cel came on, after a few "check gas caps" messages. brought it to vatozone cleared it, came back ect....

brought it to the dealer, they smoke tested it, zero leaks.

tech pulled service bulletin: to reflash pcm to update.

flashed - stage 2 flash still valid.

tried to charge $70. i us'd them down to $50 and i had a GM care card for $15.

 

Is your warranty expired? Why are they charging you?

 

yes. hit 40k on monday

 

welp light came on again....stay tuned to see which dtc i threw now....f'in pos 4k out of bumper to bumper warranty and starts falling apart....might drive past dealer and look to trade in...

 

The 07 came with the 5 year 100,000 km(60,000 mile) warranty,I kow this because I was pissed when I bought my 06 with a 3 yr 60,000km and they change it a month later.I bought it in june of 06 and in july it was changed.
You better read your warranty material that came with the car.
The only way I could see you having no warranty at 40 k is you bought it used.

 

Powertrain warranty doesnt cover the ECM.

 

evaporator canister purge valve solenoid was leaking. replaced under my GMPP majorguard extended warranty that i forgot i had haha....

 

light came on the third time. brought it to dealer AGAIN. same code p0455. tech found vent valve solenoid to be leaking. replaced at n/c to GMPP warranty. also replaced gas cap with new gm cap.

put about 250 miles on it so far and no light....knock on wood
