electrical problem or just a fuse?
You know how when you start the car all the little engine lights flash on? My lights aren't turning on. When I'm driving and I unbuckle the seat belt light would turn on, that's not working. Also the a/c lights aren't working, making my a/c unusable. And that light that tells you if the passenger air bag is on or off doesn't turn on... oh oh oh, and you know how you push that i button or the arrow button by your steering wheel to change between the outside temp and mpg avg, trip a and trip b stuff, those buttons aren't working either. They just died on me while I was driving yesterday. The dealership changed my moon roof motor on Monday, I was thinking that tripped up the computer or something. The dealership says it's just a coincidence and it's not related.
Has this happened to anyone? I'm going to check the fuse (if I can find it, I plead girl) I've called the dealership so I'll be taking it in in a few hours for a nice $100 fee. It's past it's warranty, barely in the extended warranty. Jerks.
The car is an '06 cobalt SS.
Thanks :-)

Located in the Bcm(passanger side fuse panel)
Its fuse #7 labled CLSTR and its 10 amps.
It shouldnt of blown unless you shorted something by accident otherwise there is a problem and should be sorted out.

Was there any work done in the dash,Say a new radio installed or anything electrical.
No warranty an these types of things can get exspensive.Hope its not the cluster itself.
I read some where about a wire behind the radio grounding out and causing similar problems.
Another thing I see is there are two grounds for the ip that are located one on either side one being by the steering colum(mabe you kicked this one by accident)
1) G201
(CKT 1051) Behind the left side of the I/P to the right of the steering column
2)G203
(CKT 550) Behind the right side of the I/P in back of the I/P compartment

I got a call back from the dealership... They claim it was the cluster fuse #7... WTF?!?! I took this fuse out myself and had 2 other people (checker auto workers) look at it... I completely give up trying to understand anything that has to do with cars.
Thanks so much for your help, I guess you were right it was the fuse. I still don't believe it, but whatever. It cost me 53 bucks, better than 100, but still not as good as the 5 bucks for me to do it... UGH, it's frustrating.
I have an aftermarket alarm system on the car with autostart that I've had about a week after I bought the car 3 years ago, they claim that's what set it off instead of the new moon roof motor they installed on Monday.
Cars suck!
But it beats walking.
Thanks again!
