Sorry to hear the carnage , but ...at least they didnt hassle about replacing it .Your replacement engine will still have the 05-06 crank sensor and use your current PCM . They wouldnt bring your car up to 2007 spec .

the gmp parts come with their own warrenty and retain original manufacturers warrenty. Normally a dealer wants proof the performance part was installed by a gm dealer but wont give you flack for installing it yourself ... the part just wont be warrentied if it gets damaged

You very well could be both . Rich at cruise and light boost and with the 2.8 and stock stg 2 tune it could go pretty lean at WOT in the upper RPM's .

gmpp parts will not affect your vehicle warranty.
but the warranty for those parts themselves is reduced if you install it yourself

12 months for self install
3 years if installed by GM.

If I might make a suggestion for everyone who wants to run smaller than a 3.0 pulley with GM Stage 2, get a mechanical boost controller and limit your boost to 15 or 16 psi. hell, you could even turn it down a pound or two when it gets really cold to help protect your engine, your still build boost faster than the 3" pulley and hit full boost earlier, limit boost at higher rpms to keep from running lean, whats not to like?

You need to call GM directly complain about dealership and give details of car and request direct denial reciept. and reason for denial. Then mention magnes moss act. by law they have to prove the parts caused problems, unless you are putting nitrous in they would win. other than that it would cost more to prove it. Also it is all in how they write it up. Some dealerships double dip on charges you and GM so talk to GM your self. Broke my belt and shift cables next day parts each time.

saw my baby today, ironically gettin the papers out of the car for denfensive driving. the tech showed me the damage. one pistion was shot through and major damage to the other, because of the boost and speed the pressure blew all the gaskets, flooded the cat with oil, burned out the cluch, and a corsa full of high grade oil. all except the corsa is going to be replaced UNDER WARRENTY, stage two and all. weird thought a gm higher up was sent to investigate weather or not i was on the bottle or had other mods of vioding value.
