engine hiccups

So this is a new problem that gradually started to effect my car.. for mods on my car I have an Injen CAI which has been on for quite a long time now, and about less than a month ago I installed GM Stage 2... When I first installed the stage 2 nothing was wrong with my car for at least a week or so.. but then eventually my engine started to get hiccups.. This used to only occur for a little bit when I first started to drive the car and hit it.. Now its a never ending thing.. like if I even drive normal I get the hiccups or if I wot on it, instead of getting the nice sound of wahhhhhhh from the CAI.. I get a wahwahwahhhwahwah instead..<best way I could put it lol.. but yea its very annoying and I was wandering if any1 else had/has this same problem or knows of a fix or check for it

Thanks,
Bryan

if i were you i would definately check your vacum line that reads your boost if it is working and then coming off your car will drive fine for like 5 mins and then it will fall off and whatever boost your were at before the line fell off that is where you will peak at so say your driving and your flooring it and the thing cuts off at 8 psi well then the rest of the time driving your boost will only read up to 8psi at WOT

I just popped my hood and I didnt notice any lines being loose or anything... I honestly dont go full throttle for long in my car just because the noise seems too bad but I know it goes up to 10 psi immedietly still.. I havent really payed attention and checked to see if it still hit 15psi for a max.. I know if I try it will deff have to hiccup hardcore before I reach it

how fast does it jump to full boost? if there is a clog in the cat then you will jump to full boost reall quick and it could produce the same hiccup.

ok, I just went to test drive it to check how the boost is and its works just fine.. if I tap it quick its a lil under 10 then if I go on it wot its immediet 10 to gradually 15psi.. which was exactly what it was doing when it worked fine... It just hiccups like hell to get going

yeah if your boost is working then your car could be misfiring causing a small hicup or detonation could be happeneing causing a small hicup

i'm not sure but is it possable there could be wires to the ignition shorting out somewhere causing the signals about which cylinder is supposed to fire to get mixed up? or maybe there is a crack in one of the coil packs causeing the spark to ark to the block. i know i have a camaro that one of the spark plug wires was touching the header and arked to the header and it was kinda doing the same thing.

Also check all the spark plugs for unusual damage/wear or differences in coloring between cylinders.

oh yea a plug may also be cracked. pull them all out and look at them very closely. they may also be fouled if your A/F ratio is off causing the hesitation
