thanks. someone else took the old blowed up motor out. my nephew found this motor and I offered to help get it together. we are missing a few things and I just couldn't figure out why the intake bolts are smaller. I will bolt it up and keep going. he has a brand new supercharger and we think we have the wire harness almost figured out. it is kinda hard to figure things out since I was not around when the old engine was removed. thanks for all the help.

The wiring harness is easy actually. There's only one way everything will connect No sensor connectors are the same

Bolts will be fine. The bolts on my 2.2 that hold the intake manifold on are 6mm bolts and I'm supercharged. I just had to use washers to keep the bolt heads from digging into those holes and like banker balt said, you can't mess up the harness.

another problem. we can't get fuel to the rail. no noise from fuel pump took the fuel filter off and was full of dark looking nasty smelling ****. with fiter off still no flow.this car has less than 17,000 miles and I read about the stupid passlock system. I have trouble with this on my monte carlo and was hoping there was any way to check the passlock before we drop the tank and replace fuel pump. thanks for any help.

If you do have to drop the tank, it is very simple. 4 bolts and some connectors and it's off. I changed my pump a month ago and the only thing that sucks is if there is a lot of gas in the tank...and make sure to jack the car up as high as you can possibly get it. If there is that much gunk in the filter, definitely check the tank to make sure there is no foreign material in there. I've done my fuel filter twice in 35k intervals and it was never gunky or smelly.

thanks. I think we do need to drop the tank and drain-clean it. I was kinda hoping the passlock was keeping the pump from running. this car has had a hard life. theft recovery blowed up. had nitrous before. the fuel rail we have the injector connectors do not stay clipped on. we have another harness that fits these connectors bot does NOT fit the main harness connection. can't change the main harness so I guess we need different injector bodies that fit the clips with little blue plastic slider.

Do you know which injectors you have? All larger than stock injectors need a different harness. You could have bigger injectors without knowing, or an aftermarket harness with stock injectors.

You are gonna want to run whatever the car is currently tuned for. My guess was your nephews car was completely stock and now he has a motor with aftermarket injectors? Yes you'll need an adapter harness which you can find here ZZPerformance - Go Fast... Not Broke | 3800 | Ecotec | Sonic/Cruze , but then the car will have to be tuned for those injectors or it won't run right. Easiest thing to do would be to post pics so we can verify. If you need stock injectors and harness I have them for sale. $50 shipped and its yours.

This is what the stock injectors should look like.
