so i have an engine knock that is louder than my direct injection. its more of a tick. but it gets louder and faster as i accelerate. i accidentally shifted to second instead of fourth one time and now its happening.

any advice? whats the problem? fixes?

 

When you went into to 2nd accidentally did it bury the needle in the rev limiter? That is one **** sure way to shatter a lifter or smoke a valve. Not good news at all, get it looked at asap.
