engine power reduced

Last night i was driving my car around. I was on my home and this kid decided that he wanted to play around. I got infront of him after wasting a gallon of gas. That is when my car lost all power. I read on my display that ENGINE POWER REDUCED. I went about a mile down the road where i could pull off and shut the car off. Turned it back on and it was fine.

MY MODS:
3'dp
3' catback
dejon charge piping
Hahn cai
HP Tuners Tuned

I was tuned in alot of warmer weather and it was about 15 degrees out last night. so i know that could play a role.

Thanks

I received a letter in the mail from GM stating that there is a recall on some (not all) 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged (not SS sedans/coupes without the supercharger; only 2.0 LSJ). The recall is in regards to the CID displaying "ENG PWR RDCD." It claims to be due to the catalytic converter. They have not specified if it is the cat itself or the sensors. But that's for the superchargers but still never know

You could have had some misfires due to the cold throwing it into limp mode.... other than that without seeing what code it's throwing it's hard to say...
would it be a good thing to put my stock ecu back in.

If you are tuned in warm weather than you should be careful in cold weather. In colder weather air is much denser and you can easily push much higher cylinder air volume since 1 cubic centimeter of air at 30F contains more oxygen than 1 cubic centimeter of air at 70F. Your PSI may still be the same, but you push alot more air.

OP did you have the codes read? I'd guess there is a code recorded to tell you what went wrong...
