Exclamation Engine Power Reduced, HELP!

Last night my 06 ss/sc threw a CEL and I noticed that the car would sputter in the higher RPM's. Especially in 2nd gear, at 4000-5000, the car seemed like it had no more power. Maybe misfiring? It would respond when I gave it gas and I tried WOT and the car fell flat on its face at 5500 rpms. Mostly just in 2nd gear though, 3rd had a similar issue but not as bad.

This morning on my way to work i was pulling on the highway and the "Engine Power Reduced" aka Limp Mode came on and the car eventually stalled. I turned the car off and waited about 10-15 minutes. Started the car and drove to work. CEL stayed on but there was power and no limp mode. Still noticed the same hesitation in 2nd and 3rd.

Only Mod is an CAI, and amp and sub in the trunk.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Ive already made an appointment with the dealer but just wanted to ask you guys because I'm kind of a noob and this site is a wealth of information.

Thanks in advance.

Yup still within warranty. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had similar issues.

Well sorta, I over revved last summer, once, and it has been fine ever since. But this happened June of 2006, and i don't remember it happening since.

If this is directly related to over revving is there a quick fix?

I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and reconnected. The car started smoothly and the CEL went off. I won't have a chance to drive it until noon but this looks promising already.

Thanks for your help.

Whats a TPS Sensor?

Also, I had my oil changed a few months ago, they reset the computer so it said 100%.

Any chance using regular gas (low octane) had any part in it?
