Engine sounds different.

ok so yesterday i had an aftermarket system installed in my car. alpine cda9855 deck, 2 12'' pioneer 450w impp subs and an amp. so i get the car back and im driving with one of my friend and i noticed my car sounded different. the engine doesnt have the same sound to it, and i asked my friend and she was like yea, i wasnt gonan say anything but it does sound different. i checked out the engine and dint notice any mods, and the car starts normally and everything. its not a bad sound, the car still drives the same but im wondering why the car is doing this. i know it could be becase of the stereo system, but is it really drainging that much juice? . if i have my dealer look at it, will they bust my ***** about the stereo?

fixed

so today i was in my car, fiddling with the stereo and what not, where i noticed two things.

first, i noticed how best best buy ran the wire to the fuse box in the engine compartment. so i opened her up and noticed that the box was loose. the morons decided to just clip the box top back on, over the wire. so i drilled a small hole in the top, nd led the wire through. then i clipped it back on again

second, i followed the wire into the car, to a small hole right behind the clutch, which is supposed to be plugged by a rubber cap. so i disconnected the wire, pulled it through and then put it through the cap properly and back to the fuse box. then i put the rubber cap back in place and viola! no more strange noise.

Best buy installers are a pile of f*cking idiots.
One more reason to do your own installs

Post totally agree

Do your own installs, learn how to do it, and learn how to do it right. You can only get upset with yourself if you do a shitty job.
