Fan noise

My hvac fan is making a noise. It's not necessarily a screeching noise, or a clicking, but I think it could be fixed by spraying with a silicone based lubricant. The noise starts at fan speed one and is noticable in fan speed 2. By fan speed three, you can't hear the noise. Any ideas?

Why isn't it warrantied?

If you voided your powertrain warranty they will still uphold that part of the warranty because it falls under body and components

I can guarantee you guys if its noise when you turn on your blower (fans) its will be your blower motor. If its not then theres something in the tubing behind the dash

I've just had mine replaced here at the dealership I work at. They charged .7 hours for labor and the motor's warranty price was 128.30. There is no stock at GM at the moment. Good luck.

15866344 - BLOWER KIT
Dealer Price $91.64 List Price $183.28 Trade Price $128.29

Awesome, another item on my list that I was wondering if only my car was doing this. I'm going to right on the list. They are going to go crazy working on my car under warranty and they can't do squat hahaha. I've noticed this problem too a few weeks after I go my car didn't think much of it but awesome to get all this info !

Yeah, thanks guys. I got it at an used lot, it was salvaged from a wreck. Pretty much the only thing wrong was the bumper and hood. They replaced both. They said that if it had any problems to just wheel it back in and they'd take care of it for me. The Cobalt is an awesome car by the way!

so yeah, it's covered under warranty. My car is salvaged though, so I guess I'm screwed? GM won't honor any warranty with my car. Any ideas?

I guess in the end everthing evens out... pay less for a salvaged car, but theres probably going to be more to fix with it...
