Fast crank over

Car won't start it'll just crank over timing chain isn't broke it displays on the dash engine power reduced ? Does any1 know what that is? Thanks for the help

sounds like your tensioner broke and its out of time.....or you lost a lot of compression

Fast crank over

I took it to valvoline instant oil change and I drove it back on post and realized it was ticking real bad so I pull over noticed the drain plug wasn't tight so I shut it off and now it won't start at all how har it is to change the tensioner

Code came up that it was the tps by I changed the throttle body and still nothing I'm so lost

Pop the valve cover off and check the timing chain slack before removing the tensioner. You might not have oil pressure either.

not everyone has the knowledge or tools to do it believe it or not. if someone works for even a jiffy lube or midas they should be properly trained to do a basic task that someone is paying for.

If the oil change shop is at fault for not tightening the drain plug, would the not be liable for damages? I thought that's why businesses have insurance.

yes and no..... he would have to have proof and have taken the car right back to the place.


we had a customer with a vr4 3000gt that jiffy lube didnt add enough oil and it started knocking on his way home. well because he didnt turn it around and go right back to jiffy lube and brought it to us(we are his major service shop) they denied what happened and he lost in court and had to front himself a new motor.
