fog light switch hot

hey guys so i was driving the other night and i had my fog lights on and i reached down to turn them off and the switch was really hot not hot enough to burn you but hot enough to get your attention.so my question is do you guys have the same issue or is this just a normal thing i never noticed it before so it kinda has me worried.

That button, the hazards button, and the TC button are all quite hot in my car when the lights are on. Didn't think much of it though

my Competitive mode button and fog lights are hot when my car is on. Always has done it

It's cause the back light is incandescent. It's small but still a wire hot enough to produce light, This is why.

Change your interior lights to LED's and your worries will be solved.

Yea, pretty normal. GM cheaped out of the wires used, so they get hot, but won't pass their limits. Usually....

you said you have competitive mode on an 06? mines an 97 maybe im just an idiot but i dont think i have that mode my friend has an 09 tc i dont have any buttons where his are to the right of the steering column

he has an 08 tc. His 06 was an ss/sc that he sold

It's the light getting hot, not the wires.......ever accidentally touched a headlight bulb while it's powered up? Same same for the smaller bulbs.
