Fuel Smell

I recently noticed a bad fuel odor coming from the rear of the vehicle, i put the car on a lift and saw the fuel lines from the filter to the tank wet with gasoline. Th elines disappear into the top of the tank, I havent had the chance to lower the tank yet to see where the lines go or where the actual leak is. My question is, is this a common problem people have seen before and if it is where would i expect to find this leak? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to see some local folk on here lol

I know GM issued a recall on the leaking gas tank. Not to sure on the specifics but you may qualify, if you play dumb with the dealer.

Search "cobalt ss gas tank recall" or something.

I would also check to see if you have a recall for that. I had one for the fuel lines cracking and leaking fuel. I'm sure a Chevy dealership can help you with that.
