fujita cold air intake...

So i put on my fujita cold air intake last week and since then in ben throwing the p0171 code and after reading numberous post's on here iv checked all my work over again and found no vac. leaks and iv cleaned my maf sensor. after cleaning the sensor the light went out for less than a day. id say it took maybe 3 blocks for it to kick back on..

so i have a few questions... should i try and take the c.a.i filter and move it back on the tubing a little bit and try that and also

the tubing that the fujita comes with onyl eliminates the stock air box. and using the stock tubing and runs down by where the resanator was so i went down to auto zone and picked up some tubing and eliminated the black box circled below:

so when i did that i had to remove the hose circled in yellow

1.)

i was told instead of having a line that runs to the intake tube i could use a mini air breather...is this accurate or could this be why im throwing the code...cause i can put the old box back on if thats the case.

thanks in advance!

and by the way the car in the pics is not mine i cant find my camera to take pics of my intake ill find it tommarow if needed

so the breather wont work?

the tubing i have does not have a nipple i can slide the hose on to. any suggestions on that? it sounds like the stock box that goes to the throttle body just muffles the sound. so if at all possible i want to keep it off

very informitive but do you think that could be why im throwing a p0171 code? i dont think that would make a code pop up but im open for all options.

most shops charge between 30-40 bucks to check codes and clear them. Just because the light goes out, the code is still in the system. I'd have it cleared and identified and then give it another try.

I also know that the MAF is VERY touchy, it has to be put in exactly how it was on the stock air pipe. I know this is an ******* question but did you happen to put the MAF in backwards? or bump it? it doesn't take much to screw one of those.
