Regarding my last post, I have another question. Are there any gasket sets for the LSJ or not? Reason I ask is I work at my local Napa store and haven't found a set. So I thought I'd ask around here to see if any of you knew anything about a set? So, me being lazy, I don't have to buy everything separate.

 

most gaskets on these can be re-used. the timing cover gasket is steel with a rubber insert, the oil pan and main girdle use silicone, valve cover gasket is available through fel-pro, although id highly recommend a gm gasket here. ive never seen a full gasket set for these engines.

 

I haven't found one either. Good to know.

what are you needing gaskets for? are you doing a complete rebuild?

 

Possibly. I think I'm leaking my coolant through the head so it'd be nice.
