getting axle knock please help!!

so i took my car to the nurburgring gp track yesterday. after getting off the track i noticed a noise in my drive train. when the car is sitting still and you rock the steering wheel back and forth you can hear a knocking noise and feel it a little in the steering wheel. i got under the car on both sides and started grabbing stuff and shaking it. on the passenger side when i moved the axle back and forth it moved about 1/4 inch or so and made the same noise i heard from inside. it is coming from the wheel side of the axle. i am guessing that it is starting to spread apart but not all the way broken yet. i should just need new axles right?

if i just need new axles, what does everyone think about zzp's and ottp's stage 1 axles? they are the same price. are they identical?

VIDEOS!!!

You probly need a new axle... Maybe its simply the hub is loose or the strut?

Im running zzps stg1s one started clicking a while back not too many hard launches. Otherwise its whatever they are great for the money

For quicks tho napa carries axles and word on the street is they are 1mm thicker and cost like 80 each

could be the steering column knocking around, my car does it while stopped and i shake the wheel, and over small bumps. axel generally will click while turning and starting

could be. but when i grab everything and shake them and try to move stuff the axle is the only thing that moves and makes noise. only the passenger side. the drivers side doesnt move at all and no noises.

good luck man hope thats your issue. a heat gun, as well as a hammer will help significantly with taking the hub and the axle out

be advised many parts stores do not have the right part for the passenger side axle. You may need to buy a drivers side for it.
