GM paying 187.00 per wheel for flacking
I had heard they used to replace the wheels for the same problem. After a month of negotiation they finally agreed to pay me 187.00 per wheel to get them fixed. Supposedly can't take the money and run I have to have them fixed.
I have planned so far to have them black Chrome powder coated and yellow where the 3/4 thick area is. First having them stripped for 45 dollars each.
Any other ideas
This was the day after Wal-Mart sent me the check for my new motor It was a good week. I had the stage 2 kit installed at the same time total cost installed 432 dollars.

They would never replace them for that. They just have them sent out to a wheel repair company and have them re-paint them. I manage a collision center that is how I know. Anyone who thinks they got their rims replaced for that, check the casting numbers on the rims before and after and I will bet 9 out of 10 of you have the same rims, they just got refinished.

They sent a new engine complete 2nd day air after I got the check. All done stage 2 kit installed and running 3days after that
When I mentioned the wheel problem somebody in FL said they took his 06 wheels and replaced them with 07 style which is different. They are just giving me the money it would cost to send them to the east coast to repair and send back.

I was concerned about the gas mileage with the stage 2 kit. As of right now I think I am getting better gas mileage. First tank 140 miles at the 1/2 tank mark. 80 percent Freeway and 20 percent around town. This is also brand new motor. If I zero out the mileage indicator on the Freeway at 70 mph it says 31.5 mpg.
