This morning driving up to work my TC off light came on and went off, it kept doing this the whole way there.. Then half way back home the light came on but this time with a CEL.. is it possible the two are related?

 

okay so have two failed attempts by two different autozone's getting link failures the check engine light went away.

 

do you have a ss s/c?

 

took a look and no you dont. ok now my cel comes on usually when it rains or i wash the car. it has to deal with moisture and the intake. if you are gettin the p0171 code then that is your problem. but it sounds like other crap is happening but i really dont think that the intake and the tc light are linked together.

 

its odd because i was having slight rubbing issues with my injen intake and adjusted it yesterday.. then this morning the problems started happen..but it doesnt explain the traction control off light coming on. They were unable to get a code due to the link failures

 

yeah well i drove my car for over 100 miles before the CEL came on. i was really pissed too. my friend were sitting in the car we raced a s2000 and lost cuz of the weight then maybe like 20 mins later the light came on for like no reason. since then it has come and gone. hopefully it is gone by the time of my inspection in may.

 

hopefully it won't come back.. we'll see tomorrow, if it does i guess i will have to end my work day early and go to the dealership.. the guys at autozone were like cel at 1200 miles?!! wtf!? id be even more pissed if it came on at 100 miles.

 

okay boys and girls.. i dont know if my intake is related to my current t/c issues.. but since the light has been flashing on and off i think my t/c has stopped working, i tested it tonight by spinning the wheels in the rain and didnt get a low traction message in the DIC.. i really dont like t/c but i dont want it malfunctioning i would much rather have it turned off by a ecm tune. i had taken it in for service and they found no codes in the system, and yet the t/c is still not functioning.. it did work when i first got the car.. should i revert my intake back to stock and test it? im out of ideas.. the techs are the dealership were pretty cool about my having an intake but im worried this will void the warranty or something.
