Has anyone else experience a grinding sound at start up and take off. And when I just have the car idling, the supercharger makes a wierd noise when I put my ear up to it.

The dealership here is worthless. This all started when they changed my oil. They forgot to put synthetic in it. Luckily I caught it right after they changed it. They only way I knew was because they were going to charge me $35 dollars for the oil change. And over the phone they said the price was going to be $60. After that, it started to make a loud noise.

Yah mine did the same thing when I was at the dealer after they fixed my pulley. I drove it right back into the techs area gave them the keys and got a rental. 4 days later, new supercharger... haha

Yeah, it's more than a heat shield. When I put my ear up to the supercharger, it sounds like a loud grinding noise.

Sweet, Maybe I could get a new supercharger. It seems too early for a new supercharger though. How many miles were on yours at the time?

Bump!

That's crazy to have to replace the supercharger that early. I'm about to take the car to the dealership so they can look at it. We'll see what happens. On the phone, they said that it might not have enough oil in it and that's why it's making that noise.

I'd demand a new motor if they didn't put enough oil in it. Shitty man, take it back and tell them to fix whatever they broke and to get it right next time.

Enough oil in the Supercharger or the Engine? If there isnt enough oil in the supercharger than you have a leak. That would be crazy cuz even with the bolt off the nose of the blower it is hard to pull it apart.

When I got my oil changed for the first time they where only going to put 5 courts in it at first. I had to tell them to put 6. After looking it up they humbly took my advice. Tards.

I had that same sound, i thought it was a heat shield lose. I drove for a while like that then i got a stg2 and a couple of days after, my engine check light came on. Went to the dealer they had to replace the catalytic converter and the sound was gone.

That's crazy. When they backed my car off the lift they hit something on the exhaust because it was too low. They are going to fix whatever it is.
