Have you changed your battery yet?

For those of you who have had to change your battery what year is your car and how many miles? My electrical system is dimming and I was curious if the battery was the culprit. Not running a sound system other than stock, only extra electrical is some interior lighting thats been on the car since it was a week old. Mine is a 2006 with 42,000 miles.

When the car is running check the voltage at the battery with a multimeter you should read around 14.5 to 15 volts when set to dc (thats the straight line picture on the meter if you dont know).
Then check the connections on the battery for looseness
Next check the ground connections as well.
Good luck.

I just had to have mine replaced it wasn't dimming but if i didn't drive the car for a couple days it woudn't start. Tested the battery and it had a bad cell. Mines also a 2006 with 42000 miles. Only place I found an exact replacement was o'reillys(dealer was closed on weakends).

04 with 70k miles, battery is still going strong. I'd get it checked if it's acting up though. Failures can happen at any time.

i got a cheap wal mart replacement. as near as i can tell, it's the same damn battery, and was half the price compared to the dealer.

60,xxx miles on mine. Still on the stock battery, stock clutch, stock headlights......

Asides from all the modifications, the only things i've really "replaced" is a rear taillight bulb and a few wheel studs.

06 with 66k. Battery was replaced because the car wouldn't start. I drive it everyday. Replaced the rear tail light bulbs twice. Front turn signals have been replaced once, and I still have a slow passenger window that the dealership won't fix because the window is tinted. I do have an extended warranty. This is only the tip-or-the0iceberg of things I have had fixed under warranty. I am the first owner of the car. Bought it with 35 miles on the odometer.
