Having problems wiith brand new cobalt

Well I just got my new 06 G85 Cobalt ss\sc to repace the one I totaled. Not even 500miles one it yet and pretty major problem. It already had installed by the dealer GM Stage 2, GMP Extrude Honed header, GMP catback exhaust. Well today my car ran great all day and I leaving my chryopractor and the car dies at the light. I start it up and try to rev it up and it sputtors really bad and slow revs up. At about 3000 rpm it stops sputering and revs up almost normal, but still a little slugish. Then once I let off the gas it dies. Start back up and same thing have to keep it over 3000rpm to drive it to a parking lot. Pull over and stop and it barely is idleing poping and backfireing the whole time. I shut it off and get out and think for a sec. I lock my doors and arm my alarm and wait a few secs. Unlock it and it starts right up and runs like normal. Then about a hour later I was going down the road and it did it again. So I get pulled over and do the same thing and poof problem gone, made it home fine. I am going to make a apontment with the dealer where I bought it to have them look at it, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions. This really sucks, but I know no matter what the dealer will fix it. I will have only had the car a week tomorrow.

That could be it, but considering this stuff was installed by the dealer before I bought the car it should be covered under waranty, right?

Yes. You should probably get a pitchfork and torch when you go to the dealer. J/K It's still under full warranty dude. If they don't fix it get an ******* lawyer.

Someone already posted that there was a problem with the 06 flash for the Stage II.

It has been addressed by GM and a new flash was created, my dealer told me it became available on like the 8th for them. I have an appt. sat to see if this clears up a similar situation with my car.

"GM ACCESSORIES - ATTENTION: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Subject: 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged Stage 2 Kit Drivability Issue
Message VSE20060289

Owners of 2006 Cobalt SS Models equipped with the Cobalt Performance Accessories Stage 2 Kit may experience an intermittent idle surge, "Service Engine Soon" light, and DTC P0507 set in the vehicle's PCM.

A revised calibration is currently being developed and is expected to be available to all GM Dealers on 09/04/06, as well as be included on TIS CD #9."

Just let the dealer know of the code and they should be able to hook up the Tech II to the comp and your car and update that sucker. Should clear you right up. Good luck!
