header/downpipe gasket
I have a bad-mab header and a zzp 3" downpipe and my gasket that came with the badmab header has turned to crap after less than 2 months. had the muffler shop put the zzp downpipe gasket in along with the badmab gasket to try and seal it up better, haven't gone and picked the car back up yet, but he says there's still a tiny little leak. what would be a good gasket to put between the 2 so this doesn't happen again? it's pretty irritating having to continuously get down there and fix a leak and it sounds like ****

hmmm ok well when i get it back here in just a few minutes i'll go home tonight and take the badmab gasket out and use just the zzp gasket by itself. if it still leaks i'm going to assume either the header or downpipe flange is warped/bent and guess i'll go from there.

Wow thats odd. My gasket that came with my Badmab header has been great.
When I used to run the ZZP downpipe the gaskets they provided **** the bed in under a month. I mean literally fell apart.
The best gaskets to use for sealing up leaks are Remflex. Look them up.
I run a Remflex gasket on my car at the 2-bolt downpipe to catback connection flange (common leak area).

I just went and got it. still has just a little tiny leak at the top of the collector. it's definately the gasket. I guess i'll just take both gaskets out and use just the one zzp gasket. hopefully that'll work. gettin kinda tired of taking this downpipe off.
i pm'ed bad-mab and told them so hopefully they'll send me another gasket or 2. so far this has taken $20 out of my pocket to get fixed and it's still not fixed so hopefully it works out soon. luckily it doesn't sound too awful... yet

as of right now i'm still using the stock downpipe to catback gasket. seems to be holding just great. the gasket zzp sent with it wouldn't fit. with some tampering it would have fit, but the stock ones been doin ok.

When I removed my catless downpipe, I replaced the header to downpipe gasket with a GM gasket I had laying around. IMO, the GM gasket (although thin) seals much better, and is of better quality. The Badmab header to downpipe gasket fell apart into two pieces on me when I removed it.
The Badmab header to head gaskets has been holding up great though.

right now i have the zzp collector gasket on and the downpipe to catback combo is now welded due to getting a 26" glasspack welded in as a resonator which sounds great btw.

The GM gasket leaked with the OEM manifold and downpipe. I used TWO GM gaskets and that worked, lol.
REMFLEX ftw. I have one in my desk drawer for when I install my zzp downpipe in the near future. I used one on the 2 bolt flange and it worked flawlessly. Sick gaskets and they last forever.
