Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Unhappy Help with 3 codes!!!!

Hi!

I have since past weekend experiencing problem with my SS 2.4
I have the 3 following codes: P0101-P0102 and P1101

I've looked on here and and it seems to be the MAF. Problem is I bought a used one, clean it and problem occured again. Exchanged with the old one (cleaned too) and same thing. Redid the change and again, same thing.

What I experienced is after I go on the highway, the car is ok run fines but at idle, the rpm is near 1250. I parked the car, turn it off and if restarted 5 minutes later, rpm is 750 and it runs REALLY rough...AFR close to 19-20 and even if I give gas, it runs really bad and AFR won't be good.

It did it to me three times after highway run, parked the car, started it back even an hour later and it does a rough start like the motor is going to break at idle, in neutral...

I have a CAI that I cleaned to see if it was the problem but keep doind that.

My mods are CAI, LSJ TB, Jetperformance chip, badmab header, lsj downpipe and magnaflow exhaust. and it's a 2006 2.4

Any help on what to look at or what can cause that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Possibly a vacuum or air leak. It's hard to tell with your mods. Make sure the intake is secure.

I know how frustrating it is.

Oh and how exactly does the LSJ TB work with jet performance chip. I would think that would cause a crazy idle and bad tune.

I was thinking about the TB too. it was clean when I bought it used but don't know how many miles on it. I will try to unplug the jetchip to see what happen.

I had the LSJ TB for about a month now with no problem but electronic can fail at any time.

Could the TB go wrong without any code?

How many miles have you put on the tb after you bought it? I'd clean it up just to clean it. Never heard any stuff about the jet chip or whatever. I woulda just picked up a tune

I don't see any way the Jet Performance chip could account for the bigger LSJ throttle body.

You need a real tune to scale the MAF or whatever. Otherwise the car is going to idle like **** and run like hell.

Well I have the JETchip for 2 years now and the LSJ TB for a month now. It never happened before last friday.

Now, I have P1516, P1682 and P2101 codes. The car just died (lower performance displayed in the odo).

I removed the jetchip, restarted the car and it's run ok (parked, I haven't tried to drive it yet).

I'll disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and restart the car after that, will see.

Thanks for the input and what can I look with the 3 new codes?? Take note that those 3 codes (the new ones) are the only ones, I don't have the 3 firsts.

And when the car will be ok, I.ll get a tune I think! lol

I think that too, someone told me he had P1516 when is TB died...will buy a new one instead of a used if it's the problem

No what I meant like you aren't tuned for it and 2.4s need a retune for a lsj tb or it won't run. As stated before the jet chip doesn't scale for the new tb. Just get a tune imo

But it worked for a month, why not since the beginning? And on ZZP they said no need for a tune with the lsj TB.
