I checked the compressin rate, and is good. I notised the diference after i got my stage 4 clutch. I think the reason for the piston going bad was because I was doing donuts in reverse in a dry lake, so dust went inside the supercharger, and the engine.

o rly?

So enough dust go through your air filter and manage to blow/melt your ringland? Whatever you say Cpt. And WTF does reverse doughnuts have to do with it? Let alone why you were doing them...

If your compression test comes out fine, then try a new intake gasket or larger o-rings on the dipstick. Is air puffing out of the dipstick when the car is running and dipstick out?

Be careful with the larger o-rings on the dipstick. that is what my dealer did and now my dipstick is broken because the fn thing is stuck in. waiting for them to get me a new one.

damn i opened up my hood today and the dipstick was off and there was a little oil around it, nothing i couldnt wipe up quick, never threw a CEL or anything nor did i notice any performance loss,

gonna keep an eye on it now theres a chance that i was just clumsy last time i checked oil level and didnt put it down all the way.

Mine popped out today with 37k on the car. oil puked out of the oil dipstick and its also burning oil. (Hopefully it's just the intake gasket tsb, but if not Im going to rebuild her stonger!). Im going to disassemble it tomorrow. I'll keep you all informed.

wow.

if anyone is wondering why GM is so tight with their warranty sometimes

this is a perfect example of why.

Same issue with mine... twice... once with a GM STAGE II with a 2.85 ZZP pulley and most recent with Intense Stage V.... Got a new motor the first time under warranty... this time I did a compression test... popped CYL 2... setting about 90psi... every other cyl was 180psi on the comp test. Last time it was CYL 4 on the Gm Stage II...

Our Pistons suck... face it.

I've been doing as much research as I can about this problem because it keeps coming into play with my car and other cars on this site... some stock, some lightly modded and some modded to the extreme.

I'm ordering forged pistons moly/ceramic coated... and looking into better gaskets and such. Figure I'm gonna port my head while I have her off and do some valve/cam work while I'm at it
