help! Help!! HELP!!!!- car is stuck in shop!!!

Car: 2009 Cobalt SS turbo coupe

okay guys im hopeing someone on here can save my balt! on the weekend i was installing some hids on my gen 2's and fogs. fogs went in no problems asked. hids in the gens 2 not so much. after workin on em for a few hours i ralised i need to hard wire all connections to stop the lack of power flowing through the connectors. so i asked my step dad if one of his mechanics could do it on monday.

sunday morning i get up for a 6am run, when i come back an hour later the balts gone and my step dad had one of his mechanics come into his shop and take a look at em. so i had NO gas inthe car cause the nigth before i came home late and didnt wanna hit a gas station at 1am. the mechanic left the car running hwile he was workin on the lights..... and the DAMN car stalled cause it ran outa gas!!!! the idiot didnt realise the car had no gas so he left it running while he worked and my car chocked out.... now my car wont start... he check fuses and the fuse going to the fuel pump has no power to it! the cars got fuel in it now, but refuses to turn over.

the car has no injector pulse!! and has a wack of codes that my dads computer dosnt have stored to read... WTF dudes anyone know what the ***k could be wrong...

i realise there could be a **** tone, but i guess im moreso looking for why the car has no injector pulse... dose that come from thecars computer? how do i even know what to do from here im at a loss guys hoping some of the mechanics on here or any other guys can chime in and help me out. !

thanks

check all the fuses in your fuse panel, test them with a dvom..

check the wiring that was done to make sure that is not the problem..

list up the codes so we can look them up..

I'd assume by turning the key over a few times it would prep the fuel pump but not if something happened to it when it completely ran out

first off there is a fuse in the fuse box for the fuel injection if that fuse is blown it wont have a fuel pulse, or they could have shorted the ecm out. running the car on a empty take wont cause the injectors to have no pulse rate, they will stil open and close when supposed to or commanded so what needs to be done is check wiring, fuses, ecm and ect

Have the codes read and let us translate what they mean. Fuses must be checked of course.

did you have to wire into the fuse box at all and remove the positive post from it? sounds like there was a short to ground and the computer shorted out

Look up p0685 & p0686 here

I'm guessin something got shorted out while working on the running car. Hopefully not the ECM
good luck

Sound to me like someone is not being Honest about what happened!(I doubt its out of gas)
When it comes to money and no evidence to prove otherwise even a good friend will deny fault.

The mechanic definitly F'ed something in your car, undo all the wiring changes(back to stock)
Check all the fuses ,clear codes and repost the codes that show up and we can go from there!

working on the electrical system of a running car, dumbest ******* thing ive heard this year. No technically inclined person would ever do such. If it was really a mechanic punch him in the dick for me. Reset your ecu, check the fuel pump fuse. Did you say it wouldnt turn over at all? Ecu may be fried

Anyone with half a clue knows not to do electrical on a running car..maybe its just me but why run the risk when all you have to do is disconnect the battery. Sounds like you are getting the shaft for someone elses mistake and they won't own up to it. It's happend to me and i'll never let another soul put there hands on my stuff when im not around
