Question Help!! Lowering Spring Problems!! Help!!

ok. i bought some springs off the internet. they were supposed to lower my car 2-2.5" . it only went down like 1.25". if that. i heard i had to trim the bumpstop. i looked at it underneath and i can't see how that would affect the drop if the car is at a standstill. if i do need to do that, can i do it with all the parts still installed? it costs too much to tear it all apart. Also, if i wait long enough, will it drop more with time as they get worn in??? if it comes down to it, i'm gonna heat up the springs to bring it down that extra 1.5" that i want. it just costs too much to start from scratch again. PLEASE somone give me some helpful info!!! i'm so lost! thanks

the rear springs take 1-2 weeks to settle to their actual drop. the fronts should drop right away due to the amount of weight put on them by the engine.

perhaps you put the back ones in the front and the front in the back?

there's a guy here in my town with tein and his looks pretty low to me, lower than sportlines. i'd say give it time to settle and if it doesn't get back under there and see what the dealio is.

the springs arent on backwards. they would only fit the one way. what should i do? should i let them get worn in? how long? should i try heating them up and putting something under the car to drop it like an inch or so?? has anyone done this? i dont think it would hurt, but thats my last resort. i cant afford to replace them all together just yet.
