Nooooo!!!!

I got in my car this morning to come home from work and the stupid check engine light came on. I havent had any problems with the car so far. And today is not the day to be having them. I have to pick my fience' up from the airport at 4pm.

The only thing I have done to the car in the past month was yesterday. And that was chaning the oil. I switched the car over to Mobile 1 Full synthetic 5w-30.

Anyone ever have the check engine light pop on after switching over to synthetic. I've never had a engine light come on after an oil change. So, I got no clue. Im going to call the dealer and see if I can just bring it in and have someone pull the code and see what it is.

I can't see switching oil types causing the light to pop on. It's best to switch to synthetic when the engine is young because it's easier for the internails to get used to the different oil. I don't think that is your problem. Is the car running differently?

No, thats what gets me. Its running great. It only has 2050 miles on it. I just went off of what I just did to the car. Cause all the other mods have been on the car for 1200+ miles. So, I dont see why they would shot a code now.

How long ago did you put that AEM intake on?

Go get your code read, it'll probably be a too lean code. Common.

The AEM Intake has been on the car for about 2 months. Maybe a total of 1300 some miles.

But, the codes are P0300--Misfire and P0171--Lean

Also, had a body code---B3010 or B3060. I dont know what those were though. The service guy was kind of a dick and didnt want to help me to much.

I went 5000 miles since I had my Injen CAI, and I still get a CEL once in a while (twice since I installed it) It only lasts for a few hours

I've had my check engine light come on for no reason twice since I've had the car, but I took it in and they said nothing was wrong. Be on the safe side and have it checked out, but chances are, it's nothing.

WOPonTour posts the annual DTC code lists in the general section as a sticky. You can look up your codes there any time. Your first code, 3010, isn't on the list. However, the second, 3060, is "unidentified code received", referring to the first code. You got what I have been calling a "gremlin". Something threw an erroneous code, and the computer didn't recognize it, hence throwing a second code. Just get them cleared out.
