Help quick question - Water in 02 sensor

So I just popped out my O2 sensor after the cat, and a ton of water poured out.. Can I dry my sensor out for a day? Or will this toast an 02?

I installed my downpipe about 3 months ago. I've had the CEL for a couple of weeks now. I have no idea how water got in, all my bolts are tight.. The sensor was slightly rusted around the bolt and very well seated.... but water somehow got in.. this time around I will try some sealant maybe. It has been rainy and snowy here for 3 months solid now, so I am sure that doesn't help.

I dried it and used some titanium thread and gasket sealant. Check engine light stayed off for 5 or 6 cycles but came back on today while getting on the highway.. I still don't know where the water came from, could it have condensed in the exhaust and pooled in the angled o2 bung? If so, that's going to be a serious problem. I doubt that is the situation, but my bolts and O2 seemed to be tight and sealed well.

I can't believe I am having no luck finding the part #. I can't be the only person to have fried the downpipe sensor. I've searched and treaded through a lot of posts..

Once I get a new O2, how the heck are you supposed to unplug it? I can't reach into that tiny spot, I tried everything I could think of to try to pry the clips off.

the exhaust system builds its own water, i would assume it should dry out after it is warmed up.

just checked your pic's, see you have a glock and a mosin..

do you shoot much ?

I shoot a lot when the weather is nice.. This winter has been long, I haven't shot in 5 or 6 months.

Weekend is finally over so I called the dealer. They wanted $85, gmpartsdirect has it for 35.. Hopefully I can keep water out of this one.

Part # is 12616506

I have discovered that the car does not do "warm up" mode with the CEL on. The fuel pressure on cold start stays around 300-450 psi, instead of the usual ~1700.
