O2 CEL's safe to ignore?

Ever since I installed my ZZP spun metal cat downpipe, I have been getting CEL's. First it was a P013A sensor 2, which I got twice. I just cleared them both times and they never came back. Now I have 4 that appeared yesterday and they come back shortly after clearing them. I don't notice the car running any differently. My AFR's seem normal, according to the RPD anyway...

P0036
P0138
P2270 <- Lean code
P2232

All of them are Bank 1 Sensor 2, so I guess either my exhaust O2 is bad, or its not getting the right temp or proper reading. Is it okay to ignore this? or is it actually causing my car to run differently?

Edit: Did some research,
SOunds like either your secondary O2 sensor is jacked
or the wiring / plug is.
It *might* need to be calibrated for your exhaust thoug htoo....

How many miles on ur car right now? Were you running catless for a while at some point? I would think if ur runnin a lean code BUT your AFR gauge is reading normal, that would be a bad sensor....

I have 8000 miles, I added the downpipe around Christmas and was fully stock until then, except for stage 1. I am guessing that O2 sensor went bad, or I damaged the wiring when installing it.

As far as I understand, that O2 sensor (bank1 sensor2), is just for emissions and doesn't affect the calibration of the other sensors. Is that right?

I am just trying to confirm that, so I can just put off replacing it for awhile.. I don't want it to change the way my car runs, if it does affect something I would change it right away.

(the lean code actually said something about "pending" one of the others, so I don't think it actually went lean, the car just thinks it.)

This is strange because today I started my car and the CEL was gone by itself. After I filled up with gas and started the car it came back.

Warranty it out....nothing you have listed in ur sig is something that will void ur warranty. IF it is a bad sensor, they'll fix it up for ya. The charge pipes MAY cause them to void it, but that depends on the dealer

Hmm, I am pretty sure anyone around here would void it out because of the downpipe.. I mean that is too easy for them to say no. If I messed with the O2, which I did, I think its done.

I've never personally heard of a case where a dealer voided someone's warranty for doing exhaust work. I could be wrong, but I've never seen it happen. Best bet would be to just call and ask. Its not like they can void it over the phone not knowing who you are lol

So no one can verify that it is fine to ignore a bad O2 sensor after the cat?

Does anyone know the part # for it? I am not having much luck with the search feature..

I have this code as well, have since installing my ZZP catted downpipe and doing some WOT pulls... it will go away, but come back whenever you run the car "hard"... if you just cruise around, it'll stay off, it stayed off for me most of winter, warm weather came back, I have been able to boost a little... it comes back... it really pisses me off, but i've just learned to live with it, you'll also throw more codes related to it, I have....

I messaged ZZP about it when I 1st got mine, their response was to tune it out, which they didn't know if they could... on their site with their ZZP LNF ECM they have some code listed saying they can remove that code so you can run a high flow cat... their pipe seems to be the only one throwing a code, and its NOT the one listed on their site as an option to be removed

kind of stuck, I have heard a catless downpipe in real life and MUCH prefer the catted sound, so I don't want to change it out... i'm going to see if I can get it tuned out when I get my new tune, the problem is like i said, you will throw more than p013a, though its not as common, most of the time its just that one, but it does vary, especially if you don't clear the code and leave it on, after an extended period of time, that is when the others show up... and if you just cruise around, like you've noticed, it'll go away... very weird but their cat is most definitely the problem, I really hate spun cats

Lol you dug up all my posts related to this.. No one seems to respond to me.

I am going to see if a new sensor works. I think it has something to do with the water getting in, at least in my case. Their threading is pretty loose as it screws in... I don't want have it to pay for a tune or program to get it delete.

Mine never goes away now, I think I have a total of 6 codes from this. The fact that it is skipping warmup mode bothers me. What else is it doing?

You should try popping yours out and seeing if water poured out like mine..
