HHR SS (LNF) Timing chain tensioner and guide replacement

Could someone point me in the right direction as far as how to replace an LNF timing chain, guides, or tensioner? Also, does anyone know if the LNF tensioner needs the valve cover off to "reset" or actuate the tensioner? Or does oil pressure do it?

I tried searching but only found links for LSJs...not sure on the differences.

TIA

If I remember correctly from what I've read, you just have to make sure there is no pressure on the valves, take out and replace tensioner then set it. I haven't seen a true write up so there could be some missing steps. I need to get this done and may just bite the bullet and have someone else do it.

the upgraded external tensioner is plug and play. Replacing the chain guides etc requires removal of the front cover, is not an easy task and is best left to a professional tech.
